As you all may have noticed from the sudden spike of sheer joy in your otherwise dreary lives, I'm back. Argentina was amazing, photo barrage to come, etc etc. I'm catching up on games and trying to get a head start on NeoPowerSwap09, so if we should be scening, let me know!
On a more pertinent issue, I am in crisis. For the first time since I could walk, I am without a costume for Halloween. Not kidding, I used to have waking nightmares about this situation when I was younger. In August. So I'm turning to you, Internetlandia, for inspiration. I've had a few ideas (Query: going hardcore on red, white and blue facepaint, donning a suit, and going as the Obama Hope poster: too last year?) but I'm looking for something to love. Costume SOS, People!!

Work* has been keeping me pretty busy lately so I've been scarcer in game, and this is getting worse before it gets better. I've got some time up and an epic backlog of wanderlust to indulge, so I'm grabbing my bag and setting my jets for Argentina for the rest of the month. I'll try to keep tabs from hostels, but will most likely be functionally AWOL till Halloween.

Blaaargh, I've been sick all week so I apologize for scarcity. I think I'm finally on the mend; in fact, I better be, because tonight is Toronto's Nuit Blanche and I'll be out from dusk till dawn wandering my amazing-ass city as it is transformed into a gigantic all-night art party (over 500 installations!). One display is thirteen blindfolded luchadores locked in a cage in our city bus terminal and told to fight till last man standing. That's art, bitches!

So, I was just musing on the nature of character drops following all the discussion in Maddie's post, and I realized something that I hadn't noticed before: I don't think I've ever dropped a character before. I'm not sure if it's something to be proud of or not, but it was sort of illuminating, for me. Anytime someone drops a character, it freaks me out. I get all up in arms and upset, even if it's a character I don't know that well - there's just something about the idea of dropping that I can't seem to process.

Urg, so my internet has gotten suddenly very fickle, and has been selectively deciding what websites I can and cannot access at random. Furthermore, it doesn't let me send e-mails, check gmail, or many other important things. Luckily I just got my iPhone so I'm not totally stuck, but my presence will be a bit more erratic till I get this figured out.
Also, it's the Toronto International Film Festival, so the city will be exploding (and chock full of PBs). So many films to see, so little time and money. :/

Yes, it's true: in the wake of zombieplot and all that came to light during, Johnny and Jackie are currently in the process of breaking up. Emily and I are working on the log now, but I want to sort out some of the fallout in advance. Namely, JOHNNY BE GETTIN' DRIZZUNK.
Johnny's going to find himself at a bar in the city knocking back a few drinks, which is a few more than he's ever tried handling before. He will be getting drunk, he will be getting maudlin, and he will probably be v. difficult to handle. In other words, HE NEEDS HIS BROS. Any volunteers from the Band Boy Band(!?) who want to drop what they're doing to come provide moral and physical support for a sadsack superhero? COMMENT HERE and we can figure this thang out.

So, first off, I would like to point out the total irony that tomorrow night I will be attending Toronto's annual Fake Prom, the same night as Neo's Not Prom. For further amusement, the theme this year is Film Noir, so I shall be channeling my inner Simon (or more likely, my inner Grandpa Liebowitz). If they play Thriller, I may or may not lose my shit.

ANYONE IN THE STABLES, you are being protected by Jet the Justice Dog, who is an experienced Hero Dog. He will be quite handy, and aside from occasionally whimpering about his missing master, will take his cues from the teachers and possibly fight Zombie Battlecat.
ANYONE IN THE GOTHIC DORMS, feel free to react to all the crazy shit in there that the residents are just sort of used to. It's a scary-ass, poorly lit castle full of drafts, creaks, passageways, spiders, bats, portraits that watch you, and other craziness. Oh yeah, and the giant squids. Tentacles will just pop up out of nowhere to explore these strange new people...

Okay, Vancouver and wedding prep are turning out to be a lot more time-consuming than I thought. I'm just now crawling out from my recuperation from the bachelor party alone. I'm so glad I got to hear a cop say the words 'STAND DOWN. It's a bachelor party.'
